Cooking to a T is a website dedicated to using real food to make fresh, healthy, and homemade dishes. T'ara is the creator of Cooking to a T and is always testing recipes that will please her family, friends, and readers.
A Brief History
Long story short, I like to create things and eat them, but of course that's not the entire story, so keep reading!
I started this website because I love to cook, garden and visit local restaurants around Baltimore, my hometown, and I want to share my passion with the world.
Nothing makes me happier than putting together a meal with the freshest ingredients. Cooking is always a learning experience for me, especially when a dish I'm super excited about making fails. It just encourages me to try and try again.
As a girl who's constantly battled with her weight and aims to be in the best shape I can be, cooking allows me to put healthy spins on my favorite "junk" food items. That way, I save on the extra calories and fat and see my waistline decrease. Who says healthy food has to be boring? Healthy food is way better than your local Chinese take out or local sub or pizza shop. It's all about combining the flavors you love the most into a satisfying dish. If health isn't a motivator, then maybe money may be. Learning to cook at home can save a ton of money. Dining out on a regular basis adds up over time, even if you're just spending $5 or $10 a day on food.
Cooking at home can be fun. All it takes is a little patience, trial and error and open mindedness. I hope you enjoy my site. I'm going to post about how food impacts my life on a regular basis and what new creations I'm making in the kitchen.
